On Wednesday we had a little Helsinki sightseeing. Each of us had 10 minutes time to present our part. My turn was next to last, so I needed to wait a couple hours my turn.
I will present our route shortly.

- Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma
- Helsinki Music Centre & Parliament House

- The Three Smiths Statue
- Swedish Theatre
- Esplanade Park

- Sofia's Street (me)
- Senate Square (me)
- Helsinki Catedral
I already know so much about Helsinki, so this sightseeing tought me a lot about guiding. I kept attention where to stand that everybody can hear you. It's important to stand in a silence place and if the place where you are going is not silence or there is happening something which disturb your guiding, you have to be ready maybe skip the place and change your ways. For example 'Three Smiths Statue is good example for it. My classmate didn't guide her group to the statue, because somebody played a drum there. So if you wanna be a guide, you should be ready to improvise sometimes.

Now I will write about my guiding turn. My topic was Sofiankatu and Senate Square. The purpose of our sightseeing were to watch out how to guide and test it. This time it was possible have a paper with you, but actually I didn't need it first in Sofiankatu. I was ready tell about Sofiankatu more than Senate Square.
What I think about my guiding?
- before my turn, I was not nervous at all, but then when my turn come I almost forgot all what I should say
- I had a ghost story and everybody waited for it (I guess), so I decided to tell it almost first, because it helped me a lot remember what should I really say in Sofiankatu
- I actually felt a little bit weird, I needed to talk in a loud voice and I felt like it's not my voice. But I was afraid that nobody hear me if I speak with a normal voice.
- I also drunk some coffee, which I should never do before a presentation, because it made my body to shake a little
- I think Sofiankatu was the best part from my guiding
- Senate Square didn't go that well. I just spoke all I knew and then I took a paper and huh. It just didn't go so well.
What could I do better next time?
- don't drink coffee before your guiding
- I think the best way to me is take more contact to my customers, because it makes me feel normal and natural, maybe ask some questions etc.
- close your hair that wind does not take them and you don't need to all the time touch them
- Study your attractions by heart
- walk more slowly to another place
- speak slowly and take your time
Well it was our first time and I am proud of it anyway! :)
